Home Ownership Programs

The City of Watsonville's Affordable Housing Ordinance requires that most new home developers sell a percentage of their homes at affordable prices to buyers who meet certain eligibility requirements.

Buyer Eligibility Requirements
The buyers of affordable homes must meet certain eligibility thresholds and requirements related to income limits, creditworthiness, household size, and status. In addition, the buyer must enter into a resale restriction agreement with the City and be able to contribute a minimum 3% cash investment towards the purchase price of the home.
